Very—insanely—popular when I was a kid. You might remember the cartoon series, which always seemed to be on, though I never watched.

These had some absolutely terrifying things too

I loved the cartoon, it was so charming and lowkey. I have the whole series on DVD, the ending is so sad though :(. My family had both books, such lovely artwork 🙂
