I’ve seen this post fly around a bit and I guess I should express my feelings.
I know that you all look up on me and have a very positive view, but there are some things that I think I need to let you all know
1. Personally, I don’t wish to be viewed in an extremely high manner. I commit mistakes and I am only trying to improve myself no matter how minor or major that mistake may be. I hold on to a positive policy, because I find it to be a much healthier alternative from a psychological perspective. With that said, this form of glorification can be taken to such an extent where I find it to be uncomfortable. Such as exalting me with divinity and infallibility. I am just like you guys. I wish that would stop.
2. Jesus (as) is Jewish, so I think it’s important to understand that his Jewishness should not be taken from him, whether jokingly or not. In fact, we Muslims do see him as Jewish.
3. It can be mildly uncomfortable if I’m compared to these holy personalities, since I hold them in high regards myself, so from a Muslim PoV, it’s better to abstain from it.
