i love being trans. 

it’s given me the answer to a lot of confusion in my life, and finally let me have confidence in myself that i never had before. i’m way less depressed and anxious because i’m lucky enough to live as an out trans person, and i mean, the cute outfits i can wear now? honey

plus, being trans has connected me to a history of resilience and revolution that i’m proud to look back on. it’s surrounded me with a colorful, hilarious culture that encouraged me to be more compassionate towards other people and love myself. i have a community. i have connections with people on a deeper and more intimate level because of my trans identity.

don’t get me wrong, i hate transphobia, and my own experience of gender dysphoria is awful. if you don’t like being trans, that’s okay! but the point i’m making here is that not everything about being transgender/nonbinary is awful. you’re allowed to like it, and you’re allowed to love it!
