Since last year, I’ve seen this headline around a lot as a description of our current political divide:

But it wasn’t until today that I found out there was a response article to it:

Seriously, this shit would be cartoonish and unbelievable in fiction, and yet someone actually wrote it.

Isn’t there a word about being compelled to do something against your will? Call me silly but I was under the impression that this is, you know, generally a bad thing.

I’m sorry that “saying you should care about people and not be a selfish asshole” is such an oppressive and awful thing to hear. Life must be a real struggle for you, having been attacked by things like Mr. Rogers and Sesame Street as a child.

Hey y’all, would you mind throwing a little money my way? Even a dollar helps. I’m a nonbinary transman living in a very conservative area and I need to get the fuck out of here. I’m saving money myself, but I could really use a little help. If you could lend even a dollar, that’d help, or if you can’t, please reblog this? Whatever I don’t use I’m gonna immediately throw at other crowdfunding. I just need a little help to get home, to where I have loved ones waiting for me. Please, if you can, reblog this or spare a dollar. I’ll also do commissions for you if you want, I’m just desperate to get home. Please help me.

2 more days till I head down! Please help if you can.

concept: a death god that is actually surprisingly supportive and on the side of the good guys, supporting actions and promoting policies that will lead to the kingdom growing and thriving instead of being destroyed, because the more the kingdom grows, the more people there are, and the more people there are the more people will eventually  die, and when you’re an immortal god of death, you know there’s no need to rush. you’ll get them all in the end

i like how the responses on this post are cleanly split between “hey this is a great story idea i love it” and “this is absolutely terrifying”
